Metrotile Lightweight Roofing has been specified by Easy Base as the roof material for their ‘Instant Homes’ – factory-built modular units that leave the factory in just two pieces via truck and are craned into place when they reach the site.

A pilot scheme recently launched in Blackburn, Lancashire in conjunction with Together Housing Group. The homes take just one day to fully install and connect to the grid.

Metrotile’s low weight is essential for the mobility of each home – a traditional material roof would only add too much weight for a truck to haul. Once the homes are installed, they feature all of Metrotile’s benefits, including enhanced security and sustainability.
